At the Nelsonville United Pentecostal Church, we exalt the Lord with singing and lifted hands and enjoy the sweet presence of the Lord. Sunday services and Wednesday evening services consist of worship, taking the needs to God in prayer and a sermon. Monday evening, members gather for approximately forty-five minutes of quality prayer time.
Youth – (Ages 12 – 18) : The youth of the Nelsonville United Pentecostal Church meet twice a week for a youth class designed just for them. After worshipping with the congregation in the main church on Sunday Mornings and Wednesday evenings, they assemble in the youth room and have class until the end of service. Sunday evenings, the youth are in the sanctuary with the entire congregation. Our youth are “The Church of Tomorrow,” and are active in the church choir, multi-media department, with the puppet ministry and as praise singers. We welcome other youth to become a part!
Children – (Ages 6-12) : Sunday School begins at 10:00am with the children in their class the entire church service which is over approximately at 11:30am. They have a great time learning about the Bible as well as fun with activities and puppets. On Wednesday evenings, the children are in the main church until after the worship service, then they go to the fellowship hall for Children’s’ Church. Sunday evenings, the children are in the sanctuary with the entire congregation.
Toddler (Walking to approximately 6) : The Toddler classroom is a special place where they learn to share and are taught about Jesus. After the Sunday morning worship service toddlers go to their class and are picked up by the parents at the end of the service.
Ladies : Ladies have a pot-luck once a month in the fellowship hall. After eating and a brief talk, prayer is made for the needs. God hears the requests and praise and sends such a refreshing, and the sweet presence of the Lord can be felt! A couple of small games and door prizes follow, as well as much laughter. What a good blend of FUN, FOOD AND FELLOWSHIP!
